  1. Installation

  3. MacSLIP is now installed with the Aladdin installer.
  4.  
  5. To begin installation, launch the MacSLIP Installer  Application.
  6.  
  7. Read the online release notes that are displayed for any information that may not have been included in the printed documentation.

  9. Be sure to disable any virus checking software before running the installer. Virus detection software may prevent the installer from operating correctly.

  28. Click Install to install everything.

  30. Click Custom to select custom installation options.

  50. Select MacSLIP Full Installation to install everything (same as Standard install.)

Select MacSLIP to install MacSLIP without any of the extra applications software. Select Netstat to install an application that can be used to monitor your SLIP connection and TCP connections. Select Telnet and FTP applications to install complimentary copies of NCSA/Telnet and Dartmouth Fetch (FTP).

  54. You can command-click to select more than one option. Once you have selected all the options you want, click Install to install the software. Your Macintosh will need to be restarted before you can use your new version of MacSLIP.
